wow, thanks for the comments, adam and laura. i accidentally typed "laure" and i like that spelling.
the last post was super short because i was interrupted with a crying child. i don't remember which one, but someone was fussy.
Right now Tyler is playing some Halo3, slowly working towards 40. I was snoopin' around facebook, seeing what was new: not much!!! (That, by the way, is an incorrect use of the colon, but pay no mind, pleaseee.) Yes, Laura, it's boring. the only thing happening are little snippets of people's lives. And it's not even like we can listen in to a whole telephone conversation (if you're the stalker type). conversations between two people can only be traced so far, and then it's nothing too fascinating. not that i'm in love with xanga. i was thinking about abandoning this blog for another that's more decent.
Some days, I feel like a supermom. I woke up super early with Tyler. fed Judah and watched some of the Today show. I recorded it because Conan was on it (tomorrow night is his finale!). If i watch it much past 8 A.M., I get sucked in, so I followed my instinct to turn it off when jude was finished eating. got dressed and ready for the day. went to target to return stuff. the targets around here are GREAT in the grocery department. so, walking along with my double stroller and a basket clipped on the handle-bar, i did some major grocery shopping with a few splurges... like Pantene Pro-V deep conditioning mask for women of color! my hair goes crazy after having a baby. and a little CD player for elijah's room so he can listen to music. went to Costco after that to get some milk. then came home, fed judah, made lunch for elijah, vacuumed, made lunch for tyler.. after he left to go back to work i fed judah again, cleaned the bathroom, swept and mopped the kitchen and bathroom, fed judah again, did a bunch of dishes and scrubbed some of the cabinets. i made homemade hash browns, omelets and scrambled eggs and croissants for dinner. big SIGH.
by that point, judah was ready to eat... AGAIN. so we sat down and watched the interview with Conan. we want to record his finale. we don't stay up that late hardly ever anymore. I did after Judah was first born, but he goes down for the night around 10:30 these days.
i think judah needs a diaper change and some more to eat. adios for now.
p.s.-- it doesn't sound like i did a lot, now that i read over everything. but with a newborn and a toddler, i feel like i accomplished so much in between feedings and naps... : ) and in spite of having a car that is pretty soaked on the INSIDE from a leak, setting up and putting away a double stroller and two car seats ... got in, got out, got in again, got out, got in, and finally got out at home again.
p.s.2-- the weather was absolutely gorgeous today. high of 67, but it felt considerably warmer since it's been so dreary lately. EEK. i just remembered i left the car windows cracked so that it could air out some. ... hope it doesn't rain tonight! i don't think it's supposed to.

thank you, decaf
So I've returned to drinking coffee at home. I got some bold decaf beans that are pretty tasty.
elijah amazes me with how much he learns!

California Update
So I've been in California for about a week now. Tyler's dad seemed to be improving, but just when the doctors wanted to take the tube out of his lungs, he had a lot more fluid drain out. Yesterday, Tyler and I, along with his sister and mom, met with the oncologist to have her answer a lot of our questions. Tyler's dad has stage 3/4 lung cancer. It's sad news for the whole family.
The weather here is beautiful. Today it was under 80 degrees. I still have to get used to the COLD nights... not cool, not just chilly, but COLD. And I left my favorite jeans at home! Which doesn't make too much of a diff because my belly is bustin with this baby! I've been feeling the baby move (definitely) for about a week and a half now. It's exciting. Now I'm remembering though..... when I lay on my belly (or partially), I sometimes feel as though I'm actually laying ON a little kid. weird, i know.
So. we have yet to get our plane tickets back to maryland. i'm going to look on the internet tonight.
okay. adios.
